Neighbourhood House Planning

Melton Shire Council is currently developing a strategic framework to assist the future direction of Neighbourhood Houses within our municipality.

Residents are encouraged to provide feedback to Council to ensure adequate planning for the future provision of Neighbourhood House Services.

In May 2009, Melton Shire Council expressed support for a Neighbourhood House Program being developed in Diggers Rest.

Funds net court

A grant from the Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) together with Melton Shire Council budget funding will result in the construction of two (2) netball courts for Diggers Rest. The new facilities will be erected complete with lights at the Recreational Reserve, Plumpton Road Diggers Rest.

Special thanks to local resident Jack Harris and Diggers Rest Primary School principal Paul Yeatman for their letters of support.
