Western Water together with the Country Fire Authority (CFA) are asking residents to “adopt a hydrant”. This means that you can assist by keeping the fire hydrant nearest to your property clear of soil, grass and shrubs.
Vehicles should also be kept clear of a hydrant so the fire authorities can access it in an emergency.
