Cups raised to support cancer cause

It’s definitely not an illusion.

The Diggers Rest Community Biggest Morning Tea held yesterday, raised $2357.00 in support of cancer research and prevention programs.

Hosted by Houdini’s Café E Cucina, the event was well attended catering to 55 enthusiastic participants.

The total value of the ticket price along with all other funds raised at the event are donated to the Cancer Council of Victoria.

This year, Diggers Rest Auskick added to the overall grand total, contributing $50.85.

It’s the second year that Houdini’s have helped the Community deliver this event and plans are already underway for 2017.

Unfortunately, cancer does not discriminate. Many of us have or will be touched by cancer at some time in our lives.

Events like this are not just about raising funds. They are also about learning and understanding and working together to help develop strong and reliable support for those diagnosed and suffering with cancer.

We are very fortunate to have received assistance from the following entities and individuals to help make the Morning Tea a huge success. Thanks everyone!
