Breast clinic opens in Sunbury

Fantastic news!

Today, the Minister for Health the Hon. Jill Hennessy and local member for Sunbury Josh Bull opened the 40th BreastScreen clinic in Victoria.

The new Sunbury clinic will offer women from Gisborne, Kyneton and Sunbury over the age of 40 years two free yearly mammograms.

This new state-of-the-art facility will mean more women in Sunbury and surrounding areas including Diggers Rest will have access to lifesaving breast cancer screening.

BreastScreen Victoria has partnered with Lake Imaging at the Sunbury clinic to help reduce the impact of breast cancer.

In this growth corridor, it’s great to see investment and support for local services like this, so women in our district can get the vital healthcare they need, closer to home.

Women between the age of 50 and 74 are encouraged to have a free breast screen by calling 13 20 50 or booking an appointment online.
