The heavy lifting on the new Diggers Rest Retail and Entertainment Precinct has begun.
Located along Banks Drive, which is the continuation of Houdini Drive, the new development promises to provide much needed amenities for the growing community.
Diggers Rest has experienced rapid population growth in recent times, falling short of sustainable local employment opportunities due to limited retail and commercial space.
This project aims to deliver a combination of retail and lifestyle choices like a pharmacy, take-away food outlets, café/restaurant venue, gymnasium, bottle shop and convenience store.
Together with the prospect of a specialist medical centre, the development will also be home to the future Diggers Rest Tavern.
Completion is scheduled toward the end of 2020.
