Centenary of Flight Celebrations

On 18 March 1910, Harry Houdini made the first controlled, powered sustained flight in Australia, at Digger’s Rest, Melbourne, Victoria.

March 2010 will mark the 100th anniversary of that famous flight. The Diggers Rest community in partnership with the Melton Shire Council and the Lions Club of Diggers Rest will host a range of commemorative activities:

Festival of Flight Commemoration Ceremony
