The 2023/24 Municipal Draft Budget is expected to be approved for public exhibition at the Council meeting scheduled for tomorrow night.
As part of the budget, $3.3m has been allocated toward the construction of the Diggers Rest Community Pavilion and the second oval.
Other initiatives proposed include electronic scoreboard upgrades at the Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve, an outdoor undercover viewing area at the Diggers Rest Bowling Club, Local park improvements (trees) at the St Genevieve “Central Park” on Kipling Circuit, path safety lighting at the Norm Raven Reserve and funding toward the annual Diggers Rest Community Carols event.
It’s understood that a number of residents provided submissions to the budgetary process, helping to secure good outcomes for our growing community.
