Last night, the Diggers Rest History Project received $3,000 as part of the Melton City Council Community Funding Program.
These funds will provide a secure display cabinet for the “Houdini has landed” pastel artwork by local Sunbury artist, the late Barry Ackland.
It is anticipated that the artwork will be permanently displayed at the Diggers Rest Bowling Club or the Melton Library and Learning Hub.
The Diggers Rest History Project would like to thank the Melton City Council for a most enjoyable evening and for the opportunity to apply for grant funding.
