Melton City Council now provides residents with the option of an additional hard waste at home waste collection.
Each household can choose either two (2) hard waste collections from their property, or two (2) drop-offs at the Melton Recycling Facility, or one (1) hard waste collection and one (1) drop-off as part of their annual domestic waste disposal.
The no-cost service is available to renters and owners which offers an ideal solution to the disposal of bulky household waste.
Usage is recorded against the property address and participants will need to provide photo identification showing a City of Melton address or a rates notice.
Commercial and industrial properties under the new initiative are excluded and will no longer receive any waste disposal vouchers as part of their annual property rates charges.
