Houdini – Centenary Air Show

The Houdini – Centenary Air Show will commemorate the first officially recorded controlled powered flight in Australia, made by Harry Houdini at Diggers Rest on 18th March 1910. The air show will be held on Saturday 20th March 2010 at Melton Airfield, not far from the site of Houdini’s original flight.

A range of aircraft spanning the last one hundred years will be on static and flying display along with vintage cars from the era, historical displays, art displays, local produce display, kids entertainment and more. Flying displays will include Tiger Moths, Moth Minor, Sea Fury, Kittyhawk, Nanchang and more.

Prizes will be given away on the day including aircraft joy flights, art work prizes and aviation t-shirts and caps.

Come and be a part of history and enjoy a day with something for the whole family.
