Melton City Council will again write to VicRoads requesting that they undertake a thorough investigation into the incidents that have occurred on Vineyard Road and provide Council with the findings and any proposed improvements needed to address the Vineyard Road issues.
The move follows a notice of motion adopted at the ordinary meeting of Council held last night.
Council is also seeking a speed reduction along Vineyard Road from 80km/hr to 60km/hr.
Despite an adverse response from VicRoads late last year regarding the installation of safety barriers next to the new Diggers Rest Medical Centre and the Diggers Rest Early Learning Centre, the motion aims to see the immediate installation of safety barriers along Vineyard Road.
