They’re off…

Nominations for the 2020 Victorian local government elections closed yesterday and eleven (11) candidates have chosen to participate in the quest to represent and advocate on behalf of all residents within our community.

These fine candidates over the coming weeks will be working to secure your trust and confidence to be part of the Melton City Council for the next four (4) years.

Our municipality is divided into three (3) boundaries, known as wards.

These wards are Cambridge, Coburn and Watts.

Diggers Rest along with Bonnie Brook, Grange Fields, Hillside, Plumpton, Taylors Hill and Toolern Vale are all included within the Watts ward.

Over the years a number of local Diggers Rest residents have been elected to represent our community on Council.

The combined efforts of some exceptionally dedicated people have helped work toward building a great community for everyone to enjoy.

Amongst the candidates are some local Diggers Rest faces, which is inspiring for our community.

Wishing all candidates every success.
