As a follow up to the article “Calls to lower speed limit“.
Melton City Council has confirmed today that in response to a notice of motion adopted at its Ordinary Meeting July 20, 2020 Council has made a submission to the Department of Transport calling for a speed limit reduction on Plumpton Road.
The submission seeks to lower the limit from the roundabout at Diggers Rest – Coimadai Road, Diggers Rest through to Taylors Road, Plumpton.
This includes;
Plumpton Road, north of Melton Hwy (between Diggers Rest – Coimadai Rd and Melton Hwy), requesting a reduction in speed limit to 80kmh
Plumpton Road, south of Melton Hwy (between Melton Hwy and Tarletons Road), requesting a reduction in speed limit to 80kmh
Plumpton Road, south of Melton Hwy (between Tarletons Road and Taylors Road), requesting a reduction in speed limit to 60kmh
